Celebrate!

cel·e·brate  /ˈseləˌbrāt/
publicly acknowledge (a significant or happy day or event) with a social gathering or enjoyable activity.

Why celebrate Easter?
We are Easter people! We stand on resurrection ground. Easter is not only our greatest party; Easter is the only reason we are here at all! St. Paul says in 1 Corinthians, “If Christ is not raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.” –NT Wright

And I love this picture of Jesus, creation and local church community:

All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule.

And not just for the time being, but forever.

He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything.

At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.  Ephesians 1:20-23 Message Version

No matter where you are in life or where you've been, there is a place for you in Jesus!  Come join us as we’ll be celebrating with biscuits & gravy, Starbucks, balloons, worship, personal stories of transformation and baptisms!  And every week after Easter- minus the biscuits & gravy and balloons.
